The Power of Christmas Memories

I love Christmas!

I mean what is not to love?

Of course there is the celebration of Jesus’ birth.

And then there’s time with family…time that is outside of the ordinary day-to-day routine.

I mean even Ralphie had a whole movie dedicated to the memory of his Christmas Story.

Like Ralphie, I have such happy memories as a child at Christmas. There was a lot of fun, food, and shenanigans.

But Christmas 2012…now that will go down as the most epic Christmas in my life.

Why?

Because it was a White Christmas that dumped almost a foot of snow on the Arkansas ground.

My family and I were visiting from Spring, TX and so were my cousins from Dallas.

So with a ton of people piled into one house, a freezer full of deer meat, a momma that can cook anything, and Redneck family that can make a sled out of a busted up wheelbarrow…the Christmas of 2012 will easily go down in my history books as the most fun Christmas EVER!

We even made the local news with our sledding shenanigans.

Christmas Sledding 2012

Yes, I have so many amazing memories of Christmases Past.

Now, all of these wonderful Christmas memories (and Jason’s too) hang on what I call my “Fun Old Fashioned Christmas Tree.”

We get a real tree, string up the popcorn, and then I hang pictures of past Christmases.

I adore looking at this tree every year to remember the love my family has shared for generations.

These pictures represent moments in time that have branded a loving feeling forever on heart and mind.

So as you prepare to celebrate Christmas this year, may you make blessed memories with your loved ones…because there is the power of love in those memories!

Know Better. Do Better. Live Better. Make Christmas Memories!
